HOW CAN PARENTS/CARERS HELP IN SCHOOL?

There are so many things that parents/carers can do to support the school and we really value this help.  We actively encourage parents and carers to help their children as much as possible by talking to them about what they do at school and taking an interest in what they are learning. 

Being enthusiastic and praising children when they do good work, goes a long way towards making children feel positive about school and helps them to have the confidence to do well.

We encourage all parents and family to come to the various school events, such as parents’ evenings, concerts, exhibitions, festivals, special events and school fairs. The children and staff are pleased to see parents and family come along, as it is a good opportunity to meet other parents/carers and to contribute to the school community.

Parents/carers are always welcome to help in the classroom with reading, crafts, cookery etc; so many parents/carers have skills that would be of value to the school and we make good use of this wherever and whenever possible!
